I was shocked that Waldorf, a fairly depressing area, had a restaurant like this. Silver Skewers is warm and inviting, with an amazing owner who is so friendly. The menu is small and high focused, which is appreciated. We loved our dinner. We ordered chicken, lamb, and kubideh kabobs, which come with rice and vegetables. You are started off with bread and salad. Everything was great. I don't think I can choose a favorite kabob because they were all delicious. I really enjoyed the spicy green sauce and the generous use of sumac. The rice is excellent. We tried hard to finish our plate so we did not have room for dessert, but next time I return, my goal is to order dessert.

The salmon kebabs are amazing! It's something about being roasted over an open fire that adds so much depth of flavor! 10/10 would try again!

If you live in or near Waldorf, Md. You owe it to yourself to go to this restaurant. The food is AMAZING, the service and atmosphere is EXCELLENT. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who is AWESOME. I live in Virginia and I plan on being a regular there and will let all my family and friends know about this place.

My son and his wife first took me to this restaurant....I wasn't sure when I pulled up how good the food was going to be...when I opened the door I couldn't believe how nice and cozy and how pretty it was with flowers on the table. The food I loved...Delicious....I had the chicken, and it was fabulous, I came back several times after that and had the salmon and also the shrimp and steak...so good....it's actually my favorite restaurant now...I have taken my best friends there and today my sister and I are going back..she loves it too. The service is excellent too and you must try their tea-another favorite...oh yes, the homemade ice cream is so so so good!!!!!! This place is the Jewel of Waldorf!

Shala the owner makes us feel like family every time we go here. The quality, quantity, flavor of her dishes is unsurpassed. She has been one of our Southern Maryland favorites for years now.

I've been coming here for many years and it never disappoints! Ms. Shayla, Diamond and the entire staff is always pleasant and have the best customer service! This place is intimate, cozy and the food is amazing. The tandoori sauce is the BOMB! Perfect spicy compliment to all dishes on the menu. Try everything on the menu. It's all good!

Amazing , I got scared when I got home and started eating The food made me travel , the meat and vegetables are a masterpiece, a piece of art . Very friendly and fast service .

Would had given them a 5 but the servings were extremely petite. The food was high quality and the taste was amazing. The restaurant was immaculate. The staff was family-oriented and warmed the environs. I felt guilty because my 2 toddlers trashed the place. The silver-lining was the fact that my (always pregnant) wife prefers this spot over the one in VA that she'd always make me travel to. The price difference is worth what I'm saving in the commute. She doesn't always let me photograph the plates. The Lamb was cooked to perfection.

Listen it up, read up! Now based on my expertise and my recollection Charles County doesn't have too many spots where you can experience a legitimate 5* food rating. Therefore, If you're anywhere within an hour to Waldorf, MD I strongly advise you to drop-in or drop-past this spot. The food is simply top notch. It's literally a five star coming in and going out! I'm going to speak to the men for a second. If you're a husband, boyfriend, or guy who met his date through "Yelp"... haha please take a moment and think about that.??..lol.. Let me continue, and you want to impress your Wife or lady friend please dine-in at Silver Skewers. It's nice, quiet and intimate where you can sit and learn something new and intriguing about your significant other. The atmosphere sets the mood for romance and a lovely night afterwards. Now back to the food/entrees my wife and I selected on this visit. Our go to is the 3 Combo with Shrimp, Salmon, and Chicken extra spicy with grilled/seasoned vegetables -squash and zucchini and let's not forget the fresh-fresh rice that comes with sliced bread. Remember, I said drop-in or drop-past anywhere within an hour distance. I'm promise you'll be like me, you'll find one of those side parking lots to pull in and to go work with sampling before you even start the commute back home. Trust me, try out and you won't be disappointed. Oh by the way too, this is not "AI" either, i'm a real live husband!!
